C-Shift:  Engine 1, Medic 1 , Engine 2 , Truck 7 and a district alarm consisting of Universal City, Windcrest, Camelot, and Kirby were dispatched at 1827 for a structure fire on Ave. D two streets down from fire station 1. E1 and M1 were first due and arrived in two minutes at 1829. E1 and M1 made a aggresive offensive attack. Fire was extinguished prior to the arrival of E2 and T7. While conducting a primary search a small dog was saved. The fire was contained to the kitchen with extensive smoke damage throughout the house. Universal City FD assisted with overhaul. All other automaic aid units staged.
